Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Cognitive Clarity Project website (the "Site"), including all articles, interactive tools, treatment pipeline information, and other content published on the Site. The Site is operated by The Cognitive Clarity Project, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("TCCP," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not access or use the Site.

2. About the Site

The Cognitive Clarity Project is a free, reader-supported health-education and publishing resource. The Site provides articles, research summaries, interactive educational tools (including the Cognitive Evaluation Roadmap and Treatment Pipeline trackers), and curated resource links intended to help patients, families, caregivers, and clinicians better understand dementia diagnosis, biomarkers, clinical trials, and neurodegenerative disease research.

The Site is provided free of charge. We are reader-supported and may include links to third-party donation platforms.

3. Educational Content; Not Medical Advice

All content on the Site is provided for general information and educational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes medical advice, professional healthcare advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation.

The Site does not:

  • Provide medical advice or medical evaluation
  • Diagnose dementia or any other condition
  • Recommend or endorse specific medications, treatments, or clinical trials
  • Determine eligibility for any therapy
  • Replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional

You should not rely on information on the Site as a substitute for individualized evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional. If you or someone you care about is experiencing changes in memory, thinking, behavior, movement, sleep, or daily function, please speak with a healthcare professional.

New or rapidly worsening confusion, sudden neurologic symptoms, loss of consciousness, severe new headache, or other sudden changes may require urgent medical evaluation rather than a routine cognitive evaluation.

4. No Clinician-Patient Relationship

Your use of the Site, including any interactive tools, contact forms, or email communications, does not create a clinician-patient relationship between you and The Cognitive Clarity Project, LLC, its author, or any contributor. The professional credentials of an author or contributor do not create a clinician-patient relationship, and no content on the Site constitutes individualized clinical care.

Submitting information through the Contact form or subscribing to the newsletter does not create a clinical relationship or entitle you to individualized medical advice.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including articles, illustrations, interactive tools, design elements, and software, is owned by or licensed to The Cognitive Clarity Project, LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may view, download, and print content from the Site for your personal, non-commercial, educational use. We encourage you to share links to articles and resources from the Site so others can benefit from them. However, you may not reproduce, redistribute, publish, modify, or create derivative works of substantial portions of any content from the Site without prior written permission from TCCP.

"The Cognitive Clarity Project" and associated names are trademarks or trade names of The Cognitive Clarity Project, LLC. Nothing on the Site should be construed as granting any license or right to use any trademarks displayed on the Site without prior written permission.

6. Third-Party Content and Links

The Site contains links to external websites and resources, including but not limited to ClinicalTrials.gov, peer-reviewed publications, patient advocacy organizations, and donation platforms. The Site also references clinical trials, treatments, and research conducted by third parties.

TCCP does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or policies of any third-party website. The inclusion of a link or reference does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by TCCP. You access third-party websites at your own risk.

Information about clinical trials, treatments, and drug development pipelines is drawn from publicly available sources and may not reflect the most current status. Trial status, enrollment, and eligibility should always be confirmed through ClinicalTrials.gov, the study site, or another official source.

7. User Conduct

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Site
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site
  • Use any automated means to access or collect content from the Site
  • Submit false or misleading information through the Contact form or newsletter subscription
  • Use the Site to transmit any material that is unlawful, harmful, or infringing

8. Interactive Tools

The Site offers interactive educational tools, including the Cognitive Evaluation Roadmap. These tools are provided for educational preparation only. They do not diagnose conditions, calculate risk, recommend treatments, or substitute for professional medical evaluation. The Cognitive Evaluation Roadmap uses local page state and does not store your responses.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. TCCP does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the information is accurate, complete, or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TCCP disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

You acknowledge that you use the Site at your own risk and that you are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on content from the Site.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Cognitive Clarity Project, LLC and its members, author, contributors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms
